• All Graduating Seniors/Class of 2026 --

The application for more than 125 scholarships through the Denton Public School Foundation will open in Fall 2025.  Please read the instructions before submitting the single application for these scholarships.

The 2025-2026 scholarship application will be open from Thursday, November 13, 2025, to Friday, January 23, 2026, at 5:00 pm.  For any questions, please email Jenifer Fuller at DPSFSeniors@dentonisd.org

We are excited to continue our partnership with Kaleidoscope for our scholarship application. What does this mean? First, it means that you will not have to complete your application in one sitting. You can start it, stop it, think about it, and return to complete it in more than one session.  The application is open for 72 days, which should be more than enough time to create a perfect application. Second, it means that when you complete your application, you will be able to see other scholarships that are hosted by Kaleidoscope and possibly apply for those as well.

To be eligible for scholarship consideration, you must:

    • Be a Denton ISD Senior* with plans to begin a college/ university/ technical or vocational school/ union apprenticeship program in the summer or fall of 2026 or spring of 2027. Scholarships not claimed by Decenmber 31, 2026 and used by the Spring Semester of 2027 will be considered forfeited. Please consider this timing if you are considering a mission program or a gap year.

    • Complete and submit the online scholarship application.

    • Comply with Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by January 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

*Seniors at LaGrone Academy—whose home district is not Denton ISD—are not eligible to apply for the Denton Public School Foundation scholarships. They should contact their home district for local opportunities.

    Helpful Hints:

Unless specifically asked, do not use any information that would identify yourself (name, etc.) or the school you attend (school name, mascot, clubs, etc.) Example: say Drill Team and not Silverados, Fillies, Strutters or Royals, etc.

SPELL CHECK! SPELL CHECK! GRAMMAR CHECK! SPELL CHECK! - Presentation matters, and this is how you are presenting yourself to our reviewers.

When you register, please use an email you will check after graduation, not your "studentID#@g.dentonisd.org" email. We often need to contact our award winners during the summer about claiming their scholarships, and we can not do that with a DISD email address after graduation. If you do not have another email address, there are several free services you can use to set one up, and there are links to do this in the application.

We have to repeat it. CHECK YOUR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR! It helps to have someone review your application—a parent, counselor, teacher, or trusted friend. They will often notice things that no longer stand out to you because you have read the application so many times.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be a helpful tool or a horrible crutch. It does not reflect your intelligence, so please, use your own words!

Part of the application process involves forwarding it to your counselor so they can record your GPA, Test Scores (if applicable), and whether you are in the top 10%, which we use to determine eligibility for specific scholarships.

MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE NAME AND EMAIL THAT WE HAVE LISTED FOR EACH SCHOOL IN THE FIELDS OF THE RECOMMENDATION SECTION, OR THE COUNSELOR WILL NOT GET YOUR APPLICATION!

Please do not enter your information or your counselor's actual name and email in the request section!

You will receive an email when the counselors have submitted the requested information.

    IMPORTANT:

All applicants will be notified in April, through EMAIL, about whether or not they were awarded a scholarship.

Applications submitted after 5:00 p.m. on January 23, 2026, will not be accepted. Technical difficulties will not receive special consideration.
